
| 12 March – 26 June 2011 Negotiating Home, History and Nation’, Singapore Art Museum, Singapore This exhibition is a parallel event of the Singapore Biennale 2011 Open House, and features contemporary Southeast Asian Art. A collaboration between SAM director Tan Boon Hui, SAM curator Khairuddin Hori and quest curator Iola Lenzi. 5 May till 5 June 2011 Performance Residency at Manila Contemporary together with performance artists Melati Suryodarmo, Bea Camacho and Racquel de Loyola. Presentation in Gallery: 4 June 2011 – 26 June Goals of Residency: Dialogue, exchange, sharing, collaboration and knowledge production around the four participating artists' work and landscape of performance art in Manila and Indonesia. Curated by Eva McGovern. 29 May till 17 July 2011 ‘KAAP’ an exhibition for children at the Fort Ruigenhoek, Utrecht, the Netherlands. Together with Nindityo Adipurnomo, Mella Jaarsma created ‘The Coasters’ an interactive installation. The opening is on the 29th of May 2011. On the 12th of June Mella Jaarsma will do a performance with children involved. Organized by Storm Foundation and curated by Tiong Ang. 24 June till 23 October 2011‘ Configurations – Indonesian Mythologies’, Espace Culturel Louis Vuitton, Paris, France A group exhibition with Indonesian artists curated by Hervé Mikaeloff. Mella Jaarsma’s work will be on display at the shop window at the Champs-Elysées. Opening 23 June 2011. 7 June till 10 July 2011 ‘Indonesian Eye’ a group exhibition at the Ciputra Marketing Gallery in Jakarta which travels to the Saatchi Gallery in London from 27 August to 9 October 2011. Organized by Parallel Contemporary Arts and curated by Saatchi Gallery. Half October 2011 till end of the year: ‘Beyond the East, Indonesian Contemporary Art ‘ a group exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome (MACRO), curated by Dominique Lora. February 2012 An exhibition based on research at ‘Peranakan’ culture, together with Nindityo Adipurnomo at Semarang Gallery, Semarang, Indonesia February – July 2012 ‘Feast: Radical Hospitality in Contemporary Art’, a group exhibition on the relation of Art and Food at the Smart Museum of Art, Chicago, with a tour afterward.
