



The installation ‘Rubber Time II' (2003) was the starting point for the later development of a dance / theatre piece ‘Je.ja.lan' in 2007/2008 by theatre director Tajudin Yudi together with Teater Garasi ( Yogyakarta ). ‘Je.ja.lan' confronts us with Indonesian street scenes, highlighting the reality of public and personal space in urban life - borders that separate like fences and protective walls, but also borders that are most often blurred or non existent, in which the public and the personal are blended.
